Security Officer II Acres Home Health Center

Job Summary

Responsible for patrolling, protecting, and securing all Harris Health System's buildings and grounds, promoting safety and security at all locations. Responds to all crisis intervention team activations, prevents patient elopements, and assists medical staff with restraint of patients as requested.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• IAHSS Basic Security Officer Training Program completed within six months of employment.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Basic Life Support from a hospital based AHA program.
• Aggression Management certification or equivalent required within 30 days (recertified as Aggression Management upon expiration if another certification was held at time of hire).
• Registered by the Texas Private Security Bureau within 90 days of employment (TPSB III).
• One year of experience in security, criminal justice, military, healthcare, or related experience, or a combination of the above.
• Above average verbal communication skills; written reporting ability.
• Proficiency in MS Word, PC use and typing 20 WPM.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, flexible schedule, and overtime.
• Availability during disaster situations and proficiency communicating in English.
• Proficiency with computers required.
