As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Taser Carry in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

$18.00 / Hour

• Saturday 0700 - 1900, Sunday 1900 - 0700

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):
  You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program:
  In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including assisting with de‑escalation support and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for visitors, staff, and or contractors in accordance with location protocols.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, client representatives, and or emergency responders as appropriate.

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be able to carry a taser.
• Be willing to comply with hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes exposure to the morgue.
• Be able to provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
