** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.

+ Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.

+ Support public-facing operations by interacting with employees, visitors, and officials in a courteous manner and assisting with directions, information, and/or incident response needs.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Possess one of the following: 3 or more years of experience as a Military Police professional, Corrections Officer, or armed security-related professional, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.

+ Possess 3 or more years of combined Law Enforcement, Corrections, and/or Military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.

+ An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
