** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.

+ Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, following post orders and escalation procedures while maintaining a professional presence in an armed patrol assignment.

+ Prepare accurate reports on incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions, and support security-related operations during public interactions, emergencies, and/or special activities.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Have 3+ year military police or corrections officer or armed security experience, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.

+ Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.

+ An armed guard card/license is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
