Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail, Houston, TX

Job Schedule- Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Support public-facing operations by interacting with employees, visitors, and officials in a courteous manner and assisting with directions, information, and/or incident response needs.
- Possess one of the following: 3 or more years of experience as a Military Police professional, Corrections Officer, or armed security-related professional, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
- Possess 3 or more years of combined Law Enforcement, Corrections, and/or Military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
