The opportunityThe Deputy Regional Security Manager (D/RSM) will drive the implementation of Global Security policies and guidance in the United States, working closely with Region Leadership, Global Security, and Region Risk Management experts to address security and risk issues across EY’s 90+ U.S. offices.
Your key responsibilities Planning and PolicyAssist in the implementation of EY’s Security Global Policy in the U.S., covering security operations, threat and risk monitoring, business resilience, physical security, insider risk, travel security, meeting & event security, and executive protection.
Business Resilience (Crisis Management/Business Continuity)- Develop, implement, and oversee Crisis Management Plans (CMPs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for each office within your Area of Responsibility.
- Lead the training and preparation of office-level crisis management teams and alternates.
- Exercise notification and escalation tools, including EY’s mass notification system.
- Develop or refine emergency communication procedures for EY people, families, clients, stakeholders, and media.
- Conduct site visits to assess physical security and ensure compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with Real Estate and Facilities teams on new office spaces and renovations, reviewing risks and landlord controls.
- Coordinate prevention, detection, and response to insider risks with the EY Americas Insider Risk Fusion Team.
- Implement the EY Insider Risk program locally and provide office-level training.
- Provide pre-travel briefings and training for employees traveling to high and extreme risk locations.
- Oversee meeting and event security implementation.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement, venue security managers, and EY event coordinators.
- Confirm conference/hotel emergency preparations and pre-identify local emergency services.
- Participate in compliance processes across security disciplines.
- Communicate awareness material regionally.
- Report on implementation progress for security disciplines.
- Support cross‑functional security initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Regional Security Manager, Risk Management Leader, Global Security team, and other functions to strengthen security posture.
- Analyze business environment, geographic variations, security requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
- Self‑starter capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision; flexible schedule required.
- Potential supervisory role over internal/external contractors supporting security activities.
- Independent problem‑solving and process improvement.
- Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder relationships.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 10 years in a dynamic security or law enforcement environment.
- Federal Law Enforcement investigator (1811) experience with focus on insider risk, crisis management, and executive protection.
- Current managerial experience with at least 3 years in a large national or multinational security organization.
- Flexible and extended schedule availability during crises, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to travel up to 25 %.
- Recognized security qualification such as CPP or CTM (preferred).
- Spanish fluency (highly desirable).
- Competitive base salary ($100,000–$187,000 nationally; $120,000–$212,500 in New York, Washington, and California). Compensation includes medical, dental, pension, 401(k), and paid time off.
- Hybrid working model: on‑site 40–60 % for external client roles.
