You will be a Security Guard Armed Enhanced Part Time Driver in Houston, TX
; this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

• 21+ Years of Age (C101)
• Active Armed Guard Card/License (Texas only) (C122)
• Valid Driver's License – AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123)
• 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security Experience

Thur: 02:00 PM – 11:30 PM

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points, observe for unusual conditions such as theft-related activity, trespassing, and/or policy violations, and report concerns according to post orders.
• Support opening and closing activities, assist with crowd and queue management during busy periods, and provide visible security-related presence throughout the location.

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
