Pay Rate: $18.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry where assigned, maintaining accurate logs and reporting access concerns to site leadership.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, patrol observations, and other security‑related activities in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of military police or corrections officer experience, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security‑related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
