Tank Technician

JOB TITLE: Tank Technician

LOCATION: Houston, TX

POSITION

REPORTS TO:

Tank Operations Manager

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday; 8-hour shifts. Some overtime and some weekends required.

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience and skills

• Clean and recondition bulk tanks, which includes repair and painting
• Build and repair pumps and meters
• Perform industrial tank cleanings
• Perform quality checks to ensure tank and equipment is in good operating condition prior to delivery
• Ensure timeliness of tank orders are met
• Work productively without constant supervision
• Work with a team to organize and effectively run the Tank Department
• Ability to be on call and respond to spill clean-up service calls
• Other tasks and projects as assigned by manager

• Valid driver's license
• Good driving record and clear MVR
• Minimum age 18
• Must be local (Live within 60 miles)
• Respond to emergency/spill clean-up service calls 24/7 if called upon
• Ability to lift 80 pounds
• Ability to work at high elevations
• Ability to work in extreme temperature and weather conditions
• Must exhibit stable employment history
• Successfully pass drug screen and background check in accordance with plant/refinery standards
• Must have a TWIC card or ability to acquire
• Must be motivated, able to communicate effectively with co-workers and management and work well in a team environment
• Ability to promote teamwork, be a self-starter, and work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule. Come in early, stay late or work on weekends when needed

• Prior experience working on pumps and pressure testing tanks
• At least 1 year of prior warehouse general labor experience
• Prior experience operating forklifts
