Overview
Texas Compression is a Houston-based mechanical and Industrial services contractor servicing customers across Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. We are currently looking for an experienced skilled laborer supervisor for upcoming projects located in Lubbock, Harris, Galveston, Fort Bend and Brazoria Counties.
Responsibilities- Overseeing the work of, and working alongside, skilled laborers and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely.
- Maintaining a safe working environment by monitoring safety procedures and equipment.
- Collaborating with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.
- Reviewing work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure proper execution.
- Informing designated employees or departments of items loaded or problems encountered.
- Perform general plant maintenance.
- Maintain accurate record keeping on work performed.
- Ability to work with basic hand tools
- Ensuring that the worksites are clean and safe
- Providing assistance with heavy machinery
- 2+ years previous experience in industrial environments is required (managerial experience is preferred).
- Candidates need to have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Candidates must be comfortable working in abnormal operating conditions which consist of but are not limited to confined spaces or environments that pose immediate danger to life and health.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in highly regulated, detail-oriented environment where strict adherence to rules and procedures are always required
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass our Driver Certification Program.
- Must be able to Read, Write and Speak English Fluently.
- 2 years' experience minimum.
- Clear drug and alcohol screen.
- Clear background check.
- TWIC, Safety Essentials
- Must have reliable transportation
- Able to carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work 10-12+ hour days.
- Must be able to travel for both short and long-term jobs
