Job Purpose
Please note – This role is being managed directly by Wisenbaker. Speculative resumes sent by agencies or received from any other source will be disregarded.
If you’re tired of being called in to clean up someone else’s mess — without the tools, time, or authority to actually fix it — keep reading.
If “service work” in your world has meant rushed patches, unclear tickets, and zero respect for craftsmanship, we get it. At Wisenbaker, cabinet service isn’t a scramble at the end of the job — it’s a critical part of how we protect quality, relationships, and our reputation with builders.
We’re looking for a skilled Cabinet Service Technician who knows cabinets inside and out and takes pride in doing things the right way. Someone who doesn’t just hide mistakes, but solves problems. Someone who wants steady work, clear expectations, and the trust to operate independently.
This is not handyman work. This is professional cabinet service — done by professionals.
Your Mission:As a Cabinet Service Technician, your job is simple but critical: restore quality and confidence on the jobsite. You’ll handle cabinet service work that ensures our installs meet Wisenbaker standards and builder expectations — without relying on subcontractors to finish what we started.
When you close a ticket, the problem is actually solved.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities What You’ll Be Doing (and Doing Well):
- Read and interpret cabinet layouts so repairs and replacements are done correctly the first time.
- Measure for replacement cabinets, accessory parts, and add-ons with precision.
- Install cabinet components, trim moldings, and accessories to match original quality.
- Touch up and repair painted and stained cabinets so fixes blend seamlessly.
- Adjust and level doors, drawers, fronts, and reveals until everything lines up the way it should.
- Run daily service schedules driven by service tickets and close them independently without re-inspection.
- Transport tools and service parts from Wisenbaker distribution facilities, coordinating deliveries when needed.
- Communicate clearly when service requests are unclear so the right fix gets approved and completed.
- Work flexibly across assigned areas based on service volume and demand
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of hands‑on cabinet service or installation experience.
- Strong understanding of cabinetry construction, installation, and finishing.
- Customer‑focused mindset with professional communication skills.
- Reliable vehicle capable of transporting tools and cabinet service parts.
- Comfort using an iPhone for service tickets and daily communication.
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs and spend long portions of the day driving and working on jobsites.
If you know cabinets, we don’t need to over complicate this.
