- Execute complex service tasks or services on a wide range of mechanical product lines.
- Identify and resolve complex troubleshooting issues.
- Provide guidance to more junior level technicians as needed.
- Perform service and repairs on fire sprinkler systems.
- Complete service acknowledgements electronically via Service Trade.
- Provide detailed comments in Service Trade of the service/repairs you made and take pictures before and after.
- Installation of new, retrofits, and tenant improvement type projects.
- Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other field installers and helpers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, in order to install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.
- Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws and pipe threaders.
- At least four (4) years experience in field installation of fire sprinkler systems.
- Working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre-action systems as well as backflow and fire pumps.
- Experience with installation of underground piping preferred but not required.
- Proficient in NFPA 13, 20 & 24 code requirements.
- Ability to read fire system design drawings.
- Ability to use trade appropriate tools to perform daily pipe fitting duties efficiently and safety.
- Ability to train others to use trade appropriate tools efficiently and safely.
- Knowledge of the fire protection industry.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standard.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
