Security Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Security Technician to join our team, specializing in the installation, service, and troubleshooting of residential and commercial security systems. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with DSC and Qolsys alarm systems and be comfortable working independently or as part of a team in fast‑paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, program, and service intrusion alarm systems, focusing on DSC and Qolsys platforms
• Troubleshoot and repair existing security systems
• Run and terminate wiring for low voltage systems
• Provide on‑site customer training and support
• Complete work orders, system documentation, and maintain clean job sites
• Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and other technicians

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in security system installation and service
• Proficient with DSC Power Series and Qolsys IQ Panel systems
• Understanding of wiring standards, signal flow, and networking basics
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• State‑required low voltage/security technician license (if applicable)

Skills:

• Experience with smart home integration and automation
• Familiarity with CCTV and access control systems
• Knowledge of networking (Wi‑Fi, IP addressing, routers)
