Electrical Journeyman – Job Description

Roleis responsibleforperformingall electrical tasks with general supervision. Candemonstrateexperience factors exceeding an electrical helper andissufficient on rough-in work.

• Install feeders,wireand conduit
• Switchgear and device installations and terminations
• Layout and preparation for installation
• Perform underground layout and rough-in
• Troubleshooting on motors and controls
• Possess skills to complete lower job title (apprentice) work
• Fully comprehends Electrical theory and NFPA 70 National Electric Code
• Other duties as assigned

• Requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year (heat, cold, rain, snow)
• Musthave personal tools with them at all times
• Mustwear personal protective equipment at all times
• Work from all types of ladder sand perform work at various heights
• Soundeye sightto positivelyidentifycolors of wires
• Be able to bend conduit with handorwithmechanicalbenders
• Operate trenches,back hoe, and lift in a safe manner
• Capable of digging trenches, either by useof hand tools or with power equipment
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
• May berequiredto work long and unpredictable hours
• Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather

Technical

Skills:

• Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics
• Practices and comprehends Enertech safety policy

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and team working skills
• Ability to read,comprehend and carry out instructions

This is a full time position.

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements.

Extensive travel is required for this position.

Usually between 80 to 100% of the time.

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related trade school education preferred
• 4 yearspreviouselectrical experience required
