Carpenter​/Concrete Finisher II

Position: Carpenter / Concrete Finisher II
Audubon is currently seeking a Carpenter/Concrete Finisher II to join our team in our Offsite Office. The Carpenter/Concrete Finisher II performs skilled carpentry work involved in construction, maintenance, and repair; performs related and other work as required to maintain facilities in a safe and efficient condition.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Perform tasks involving physical labor on construction projects, including the following:
Layout, interior framing, cold form metal framing, gypsum board installation, rebar installation, door, frame, & hardware installation, acoustical ceiling installation, millwork installation, and other assigned duties.

* Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and other structures.

* Knowledge of survey principles.

* Knowledge of layout of foundations forms and building framing.

* Safe use of power tools such as saws, drills, planes, sanders, routers and grinders.

* Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

* All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies' Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:

* Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety

* Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities

* Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions

* Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

* Related trade school education is preferred.

* Three years' experience in the construction industry.

* Three years' experience as a craft carpenter.

* Must be able to obtain site & Safety training certifications required for the project.

* Civil construction and quality assurance practices and procedures.

* Construction safety practices.

* Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project.

* Proven experience as civil construction carpenter.

* In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines.

* Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.

* Excellent organizational skills.

* Ability to communicate and report effectively.

* Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.

* Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.

* Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures.

* Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.

* Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing. Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.
