APPLIANCE TECHNICIAN IV
Qualifications:
* High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
* Ability to speak, read and understand the English Language.
* Must have clear and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver's requirement.

Terms of Employment:
260 days
Essential Functions:
* Perform assigned tasks cheerfully and promptly.
* Work in harmony with others.
* Complete each task with proper written records as required by department guidelines.
* Provide prompt assistance to others for operation, repair or replacement of refrigeration, cooking and laundry equipment.

Essential Functions:
* Perform all responsibilities of an Appliance Tech III.
* Operate all meters and gauges common to trade.
* Install and repair all types of refrigeration, cooking, laundry equipment.
* Repair minor malfunctions in appliance equipment.
* Properly fill out work orders and turn in on a daily basis.
* Work independently with limited direct supervision.
* Select and order parts needed for department.
* Prioritize, organize and complete paper work daily.
* Notify Foreman of problem areas with appliance equipment.
* Maintain inventory of supplies.
* Respond to emergencies in a timely manor.
* Perform other duties assigned by Foreman

APPLIANCE TECHNICIAN II
Qualifications:
* High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.

* Minimum 5 years of experience in the trade preferred.
* Knowledge of current codes and ordinances concerning refrigeration, cooking, laundry, and recovery equipment.

Essential Functions:
* Perform all duties of an Appliance Tech III & IV.
* Account for truck, material, time and zone of buildings within the district.
* Supervise and teach an apprentice in skills to meet job requirements.
* Construct, modify or install appliance equipment.
* Estimate jobs.
* Examine district facilities on a regular basis for preventive maintenance and safety.
* Report unsafe conditions and practices which would possibly result in an occupational illness to staff or students.
* Troubleshoot and locate problems with appliance equipment.
* Train and assist others in repair and operation of appliance equipment.
