Maintenance Technician
Monroe Group is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! $500 sign‑on bonus and $1,500 retention bonus available.
SummaryUnder the supervision and direction of the Community Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the overall physical aspects of the community meet the established standards for safety, appearance, and operation within the budgeted financial goal. Responsibilities include ensuring the interior and exterior of the building, plus all other areas related to the day‑to‑day function of the building and activity of the residence are maintained;
overseeing outside contracts and vendors; and ensuring maintenance teams deliver safe, decent, and sanitary housing to all residents.
- Performing general maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structure
- Performs property and unit inspections
- Maintains the property curb appeal and general cleanliness
- Schedules and maintains Make‑Ready Board
- Purchasing materials & budget management
- Ensures maintenance teams deliver safe, decent, and sanitary housing to all residents

Requirements- Previous experience in apartment/multi‑family maintenance
- English language proficiency (read, speak, and write)
- Ability to pass a full background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of maintenance technician experience, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair knowledge
- Experience in an affordable housing environment preferred
- Technical training and license preferred
