About the Role

As a CBRE Sr. Data Center M&E Technician, you will focus on maintaining and troubleshooting critical building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, and fire/life safety—through daily inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency response. The technician ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and system reliability while coordinating with vendors and documenting all work. A technical background, Journeyman/Electrician or HVAC EPA 608 license, and experience in mission‑critical environments are essential.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with OEM recommendations and industry standards.
  • Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
  • Work with third‑party vendors, ensuring compliance with company‑developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC or Electrical‑related client problems.
  • Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures. Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met. Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues. Must remain current with the latest technology trends.
  • Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns.
  • Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
  • Model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day‑to‑day and moderately complex issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
