Apprentice Electrician

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Apprentice Electrician in HOUSTON, TX. The Apprentice Electrician supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial service environments. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who assists Journeyman electricians with conduit bending, wiring, and component installation while adhering to strict safety standards.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20 to $30 Per Hour BOE

• Assist in the installation, bending, and removal of conduit to meet project specifications.
• Support the pulling of electrical wiring through conduit and connecting it to circuit breakers and outlets.
• Help install, maintain, and repair electrical components such as lighting fixtures, panels, transformers, and switches.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams under the guidance of a Lead or Journeyman Electrician.
• Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for daily tasks to ensure job site efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area by removing debris and organizing electrical components.
• Assist in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits using standard testing devices.
• Adhere to all National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and company safety protocols.

• Prior experience as an electrical apprentice or helper in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Possession of basic electrical hand tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and learn complex electrical systems.
• Reliable transportation to travel to various job sites in the Houston area.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to professional growth within the electrical trade.
• Dependable and punctual with the ability to work effectively as part of a field service team.

• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles safely.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions and various indoor/outdoor environments.
• Must be able to see color to discern color‑coded wiring.
• Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and crouch for long periods of time.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 80 lbs.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and at various heights.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $20 to $30 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
