Chiller Technician - Facilities Team

Job Summary

The Service Technician II - HVAC is responsible for performing inspections, diagnostics, testing, repairs, and planned maintenance of commercial HVAC systems. This intermediate-level technician ensures systems operate efficiently and reliably by following company standards and safety protocols.

• Diagnose and optimize performance of various HVAC systems including split systems, mini split systems, RTUs, WSHPs, CRAC units, chillers, and airside equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment proficiently.
• Perform disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial or residential HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement.
• Successfully fulfill service contracts, quoted projects, and service calls, ensuring profitability is maintained.
• Develop long‑term relationships with customers and explain work performed to the customer's satisfaction.
• Participate in technician on‑call standby rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.
• Safely drive a motor vehicle and trailer, as evidenced by past driving performance record.
• Meet requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adhere to all company safety requirements.
• Purchase materials and issue purchase order numbers to suppliers.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.

• Minimum of 2-5 years of hands‑on experience as an HVAC Service Technician.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two‑year technical degree in related field is preferred.
• Must possess required registrations, professional licenses and/or certifications as required by the position.

  • Mini‑split system - up to 3 ton heat pump and all brands Multi Zone
  • Roof top units - all brands up to 50 tons
  • Water source heat pumps - all brands up to 15 tons
  • Self‑contained systems - water‑cooled and air cooled with remote condenser and CRAC units
