Summer Laborer - Electrical​/HVAC

GENERAL PURPOSE

Perform a variety of unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance work, and operate a variety of equipment in the construction operation repair maintenance, and replacement of city facilities and systems. Possible interest in working in a new craft such as electrical and HVAC.

Works under the immediate supervision of the Divisional Crew Leader.

None.

• Maintains plant site by operating mowers, weed eaters, edgers, etc.
• Ensures the proper maintenance of equipment and tools by cleaning and checking before and after using.
• Assists in maintaining a variety of records relating to inspections and maintenance activity.
• Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety standards.
• Performs required labor involved in construction and maintenance projects as part of a crew.
• Be able to help assist in changing out HVAC filters in different city facilities.

Compressors, sanders, generators, common hand and power tools, shovels, wrench, detection devices, mobile radio, phone, ditch witch, ladders, lawnmowers, weed eaters, paint brushes, post whole diggers, shovels and rakes.
