Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $27.00 - $34.00/hour plus OT

Journeyman Electrician Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings.
- Build, wire, and assemble industrial control panels, MCCs, PLC panels, and switch gear assemblies.
- Install and terminate wiring for PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, relays, breakers, motor starters, and control devices.
- Perform point-to-point wiring while ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Client out and install panel components according to electrical drawings and specifications.
- Conduct continuity testing, quality inspections, and assist with power-up and functional testing.
- Troubleshoot wiring and electrical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with NEC standards, quality requirements, and company procedures.
- Mentor and assist junior wiremen and apprentices as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Skills and Abilities
:
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial control panels, PLC systems, and control circuits.
- Understanding of electrical theory and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with switch gear and low- to medium-voltage systems preferred.
- Familiarity with UL panel standards and quality control processes preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work inside electrical enclosures and tight spaces.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as production demands increase.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or vocational electrical training preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience required.
- Strong panel shop experience preferred.
- Proven experience wiring industrial control panels and PLC systems.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or control systems environments preferred
- Monday through Friday, starting at 6:00 AM.
- Typical hours are 6:00 AM – 4:30/5:30 PM.
- Initial workload expected to be 40–50 hours per week, with significant overtime opportunities available as production ramps up.
- Must be available to work weekends as needed.
