Carpenter Position
EPSI Worx is seeking skilled carpenters responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing various wooden structures and components. This role requires expertise in working with different types of wood, tools, and equipment to produce high-quality carpentry work. Qualified candidates must have the ability to interpret blueprints, follow specifications, and collaborate with project managers and other team members to complete construction or renovation projects within established timelines.
Attention to detail, precision, and a strong understanding of carpentry techniques are required for this role.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or construction plans to understand project requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and or other materials according to specifications.
- Install and repair structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, staircases, and furniture.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery, ensuring proper safety precautions are followed.
- Determine appropriate materials and estimate costs, including lumber, hinges, fasteners, and adhesives, based on project needs.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other team members to determine the time of project completion and ensure accurate implementation of plans.
- Inspect and maintain tools and equipment, identifying any malfunctions or damage and reporting them for repair or replacement.
- Follow building codes, regulations, and safety standards to ensure compliance and create safe working environments.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Completion of a vocational or apprenticeship program in carpentry is preferred.
- Proven experience as a carpenter, demonstrating proficiency in various carpentry techniques.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or construction plans accurately.
- Excellent mathematical skills to perform precise measurements and calculations.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality craftsmanship.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Current knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
