HVAC Controls Technician (BAS)
Build smarter buildings. Work with cutting-edge controls. Grow your career.
Our client is not just installing systems—they're delivering high-performance building automation solutions for top-tier customers. They're looking for a Controls Technician who wants hands-on work, exposure to modern systems, and the opportunity to sharpen their technical skillset in a fast-growing environment.
What You'll Do
As a Controls Technician, you'll be in the field bringing advanced building automation systems to life—from startup to final delivery.
- Partner with project leaders to understand scope, timelines, and system intent
- Program and commission next-generation native BACnet controllers
- Perform point-to-point checkout, startup, and system verification
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in real time
- Verify sequence of operations and system performance
- Build and validate user-facing graphics and interfaces
- Integrate across open protocols and third-party systems
- Train end users and owners on system functionality
- Document commissioning, testing, and system performance
What Makes This Role Stand Out
- Work with modern BAS technologies and open systems (not outdated legacy platforms)
- Get real field autonomy while still having strong team support
- Exposure to the full project lifecycle—not just one piece of the puzzle
- Opportunity to expand programming and integration skills
- Company vehicle provided—start your day from home
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience in controls, HVAC, or electrical systems
- Experience with BAS systems, controls, or related technologies preferred
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail
- Self-starter who takes pride in clean, high-quality work
- Positive attitude and team-first mentality
Benefits Package
Our client prioritizes the well-being of their employees by offering:
- 100% paid Medical & Dental insurance (employee coverage)
- Company vehicle
- Paid holidays & vacation
- 401(k) plan
- Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
- Life Insurance & Short-Term Disability
