Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Responsibilities and Requirements
- Perform work safely and in accordance with GMP and housekeeping standards.
- Mechanical work involving hydraulic, industrial electrical systems.
- Understand and adhere to all safety requirements.
- Troubleshoot equipment and perform preventive maintenance without supervision.
- Communicate with upper management as needed.
- Be proficient with all measuring tools and hand tools.
- Read and understand electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, and hard copy PLC programs.
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of equipment.
- Follow directions from supervisor and maintain basic computer skills.
- Execute and promote safety policies throughout the facility, wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Be aware of emergency exits, evacuation procedures, and the location of SDS sheets.
- Only operate equipment when properly trained and authorized.
- Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures and never remove or bypass machine guards while the machine is operating.
- Be cautious around lift trucks and moving equipment.
- Report injuries or accidents to the department lead or manager immediately.
- Understand and follow plant housekeeping guidelines.
- Identify and implement lean and continuous improvement actions.
