Heavy Equipment Operator - Primoris Heavy Civil - Houston, TX

Job Title

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, and other construction machinery to perform various tasks on heavy civil construction projects in Houston, TX.

Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently according to project specifications and company policies.

Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of equipment, including checking fluid levels, tires, and other components, and report any maintenance needs.

Dig, trench, grade, backfill, and move materials as directed by project supervisors.

Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and other construction documents to ensure accurate execution of tasks.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper care and maintenance of assigned equipment.

Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other personnel on the job site.

Assist with other general labor duties as needed to support project completion.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating various types of heavy civil construction equipment (e.g., excavators, dozers, loaders, graders).

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, grade stakes, and other construction documents.

Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance.

Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
