Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician supports manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and ensure safe and efficient plant operations. The position collaborates with maintenance and operations teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain operational excellence.
Responsibilities include inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and production equipment systems; performing preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime; supporting equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and light fabrication or welding projects; utilizing maintenance management systems to document work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history; and ensuring compliance with safety standards, maintenance procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting spare parts inventory management.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment, strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals, and strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred qualifications include technical school training, trade certification, or related vocational education, experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), experience with welding, fabrication, and maintenance-related tools and equipment, and electrical certification or equivalent electrical maintenance experience.
