As a Medium Voltage Foreman, you will lead crews on medium voltage installations and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications. You will oversee day-to-day field activities, coordinate with project management, utilities, owners, third-party testing companies, and general contractors, and support the successful execution of MV projects from installation through energization.
- Leading and directing medium voltage crews in the field.
- Reading and interpreting one-line diagrams, utility drawings, and construction documents.
- Planning and coordinating duct banks, conduit systems, vaults, manholes, switch gear, transformers, and related MV equipment.
- Overseeing MV cable pulling, cable handling, splicing, and terminations.
- Coordinating outages, switching orders, inspections, and energization activities.
- Enforcing safety standards, including arc flash, shock protection, LOTO, grounding, and confined space procedures.
- Ensuring proper use of rubber goods, PPE, and product-specific certifications.
- Coordinating with third-party testing companies for Megger, Hi-Pot, VLF, and IR testing.
- Maintaining quality, productivity, and safety standards on all assigned projects.

- Utility-connected medium voltage distribution systems.
- Significant medium voltage installation and leadership experience.
- Experience with 12.47 kV and 34.5 kV systems preferred.
- Ability to read one-line drawings, utility drawings, and protection schemes.
- Experience with duct banks, vaults, manholes, switch gear, transformers, and pad-mounted equipment.
- Strong knowledge of MV cable pulling terminations, splicing, grounding, and equipment installation.
- Familiarity with testing and commissioning processes, including coordination with third-party testing firms.
- Strong understanding of NFPA 70E, energized work boundaries, arc flash, shock protection, and confined space requirements.
- Ability to coordinate with owners, GCs, utilities, and inspectors.
- Strong communication, leadership, and planning skills.
- Rubber goods certification required.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
