Position Overview

Seeking a Security Technician / Locksmith Apprentice to support installation, service, and maintenance of electronic security systems. This role works closely with operations and field teams to deliver high‑quality service across access control, video surveillance, and related systems in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities

Install, service, and troubleshoot electronic security systems.
Diagnose issues and recommend or complete repairs.
Program and configure systems such as Lenel, Genetec, or Brivo.
Complete accurate documentation including work orders, system changes, and service records.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environments.
Support and educate customers on system functionality.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Manage and maintain service vehicle inventory.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in electronic security integration.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in the field.
Solid troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
Experience with PC hardware/software, networking, and databases (preferred).
Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Compensation

Salary: $25 - $35 per hour.
