Hydraulic Technician

The Hydraulic Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining hydraulic systems and equipment to support safe, reliable drilling operations. This role provides hands‑on technical expertise in hydraulic diagnostics and repairs, works collaboratively with field and shop teams, and helps ensure equipment performance through effective maintenance, inventory management, and on‑call field support.

• Commission, install, and maintain hydraulic equipment to support safe and reliable drilling operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve hydraulic system issues using strong diagnostic and fluid power knowledge
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, and equipment specifications to support assembly and repairs
• Coordinate maintenance activities, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, adhere to company safety requirements, and participate in a 24‑hour on‑call rotation to support field operations

• 5–10 years of hydraulic industry experience, preferably within the oilfield sector; hydraulic training or certification is an asset
• Strong commitment to safety, with a proven ability to work safely in both field and shop environments
• Resourceful problem solver with strong critical‑thinking, decision‑making, planning, and organizational skills
• Self‑motivated team player with strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑building abilities
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, and participating in a 24‑hour on‑call rotation as required
