Taper
Hand or automatic-tool taping on residential and commercial scope. Clean joints, straight lines, no holidays.
Pay $30–$42 / hr piece rate
Schedule Mon–Fri

Location Greater Houston area
What you'll do- Three-coat taping — mud, tape, first coat, block coat, skim where specified
- Maintain clean joints and straight lines across the job
- Run a bazooka or banjo for high-volume scope
- Flag framing or hanging issues before they turn into finish issues
- 3+ years taping experience
- Comfortable with three-coat system
- Bazooka or banjo experience a plus
- Level 5 skim-coat experience
- Your own automatic tools
Paired with one of our senior tapers on a residential project. We walk every joint together the first couple of days so expectations on our finish standard are clear.
Pay and schedulePiece rate. Weekly pay, direct deposit.
Lead hanger$28–$38 / hr or piece
Finisher$24–$34 / hr
Laborer / helper$17–$22 / hr
Site foreman$60k–$85k / yr
