Service Technician | Houston

Service Technicians are responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with our in-house and manufacturers' standards.

• Repair of any make of vehicle body damage.
• Knowledge in minor fabrication and fitment of accessories.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Examines assigned truck to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Communicates with Service Advisor / Dispatcher immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promise time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required.
• Supervises work of any Apprentice Technicians assigned.
• Maintains and is accountable for all Company-owned tools and manuals.
• Understands, maintains and complies with federal, state and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal including OSHA regulations and compliance.

Qualified candidates "Must"have the following skill set:

• 5+ years hands on experience.
• Extensive knowledge in the repair and maintenance in one of the following areas, diesel engines,power trains or electrical/air conditioning systems.
• OEM certified in at least three fully completed training courses.
• Able to read, understand, & apply information from manuals & computers including trouble-shooting documents.
• Strong "Diagnostic" skills.
• Strong verbal & documentation skills.
• Strong character & work ethic.
• Dependable, responsible team player with a positive attitude
• Own your own tools.
• Have or be able to get a CDL.
• Pre-employment drug testing and background screen applies.
