Electrician Lead

Job Requirements

• Current State of Texas Journeyman or Master License.
• Seven (7) years of experience in the trade.
• Ability to speak, read and understand the English language.
• Class B CDL or the ability to obtain within six months of employment.
• Must have a clear and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver’s requirement.
• Working knowledge of codes and ordinances concerning Electrical systems.
• Must be able to read, comprehend and edit specifications and prints for new constructions.

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Perform all responsibilities of an Electrician I-IV.
• Maintain a good working relationship with fellow employees.
• Serve as first contact for problems, concerns or grievances.
• Make recommendations to the Electrical Forman on addressing disciplinary issues.
• Keep the Forman abreast of daily work activities.
• Coordinate and assist the department with modifications, work orders, emergencies and large projects as needed to complete assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Management Team.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

• Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
• Be available to work different schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks.
• Be available for after hour demands, subject to 24-hour responsibility.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to keep information confidential.
