* Job Description:

** Wastequip WRX Compactor Services division has an immediate opportunity for a
** Field Service Technician
** to support our Houston, TX service operation. Wastequip WRX provides compactor repair services, maintenance, installation, and compactor rebuilding. The ideal candidate will travel to customers' sites for service/warranty repair, installations, and preventative maintenance. Work may also be performed onsite at our facility.
** Hourly Pay Range**: $30.00- $33.00:
Will pay more with Trash Compactor experience.
** Shift Hours**:
Monday-Friday 7:00a.m - 5:30p.m (On call weekend rotation)
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*** Perform routine and emergency maintenance on commercial trash compactors, balers, and other hydraulic and electrical equipment.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
* Utilize basic welding and fabrication skills to repair and maintain equipment.
* Ensure all work is performed safely and complying with company and OSHA standards.
* Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers and the service team.
* Provide training and support to junior technicians as needed.
* Travel throughout the service area in a company-supplied service truck for on-site repairs and maintenance, with minimal overnight travel.
** Qualifications

* Proven experience working on commercial trash compactors, balers, or similar hydraulic and electrical equipment.
* Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work on a variety of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
* Basic welding skills.
* Basic fabrication skills.
* Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
* Previous experience managing people is preferred, as this position may grow into a leadership role.
* OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.
* Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
* CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required.
