About the RoleA leading global building technologies company is seeking an experienced Controls Technician to join our Houston-based team. We specialize in delivering smart, energy-efficient building automation solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. What You'll Do- Install, program, commission, and service building automation systems (BAS/BMS) at customer sites
- Configure and troubleshoot controllers, sensors, and field devices
- Perform system integration and commissioning using Niagara (N4/AX)
- Diagnose and resolve HVAC control issues, network communication problems, and system faults
- Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, control sequences, and points lists
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure systems meet performance specifications
- Provide ongoing preventive maintenance and emergency service support
- Document system configurations, changes, and service records
- 3+ years of experience in building automation/controls, HVAC controls, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with Niagara Framework (N4/AX) required; certification a plus
- Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, LON, or other open protocols
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical/electrical schematics, and control sequences
- Ability to work independently on-site and manage multiple projects
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to job sites
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
- Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
