The Crane Operator role is a full‑time, on‑site position located in Greater Houston. The Crane Operator will operate hydraulic cranes and related heavy lifting equipment to safely move, lift, and position materials at various customer sites. Day‑to‑day tasks include performing pre‑ and post‑operation equipment inspections, setting up cranes according to job plans, following load charts and lift plans, and coordinating lifts with rigging crews and job supervisors.
The role also involves adhering to all safety regulations, documenting operations and inspections, supporting rigging and hauling activities as needed, and maintaining clear communication with team members and customers.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Lifting Operations, including planning and executing safe lifts and following load charts.
- Candidates should possess experience with Heavy Equipment and Lifting Equipment, including hydraulic cranes and forklifts.
- Candidates should possess skills in Inspection of cranes and lifting gear, including pre‑use checks and routine safety inspections.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Cranes, including setup, operation, and shutdown procedures.
- Valid Commercial Drivers License
- Valid crane operator certification (e.g., NCCCO or equivalent) and a clean driving record.
- Understanding of OSHA and industry safety standards related to crane and rigging operations.
- Ability to read lift plans, site layouts, and basic load calculations; strong situational awareness and safety mindset.
- Reliable attendance, ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, and willingness to work flexible hours as job sites require.
- Previous experience in crane, rigging, or construction operations in an industrial or commercial setting is preferred.
