Pipe Welder

Schneider Wallace Cottrell Konecky LLP (SWSLP), known for its dedication to advocacy in complex litigation, is currently seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join our maritime team. This specialized role focuses on welding tasks within maritime environments, crucial for maintaining the safety and integrity of our maritime operations, aligned with our commitment to service excellence and client protection. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in pipe welding, with exceptional precision and compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision pipe welding tasks on various types of metals understanding specific pressure requirements for each.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications to determine the appropriate welding process and materials required.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, maritime law, and construction standards across all projects.
• Inspect and test welds and equipment for durability and to ensure they meet safety regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with the maritime team to plan, lay out, and fabricate metal assemblies and equipment.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in using industrial welding tools, including oxy-acetylene torches and plasma cutting equipment.
• Expertise in TIG, MIG, flux core, and stick welding techniques.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, particularly with pipes and other components used in marine environments.
• Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and technical documents.
