The Enhancements team focuses on improving and transforming existing commercial landscapes. The work is fast-paced, physical, and similar to general construction labor, with an emphasis on landscape improvements and installations.
Role + Responsibilities- Site Leadership:
Direct, supervise, and work alongside a crew of 2-5 members in executing landscape enhancement projects (sod, plant, tree, mulch, gravel, and edging installation). - Quality & Execution:
Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and client expectations. - Safety Management:
Enforce all Clean Scapes safety policies, conduct daily site safety checks/tailgate meetings, and ensure proper PPE usage by all crew members. - Equipment & Inventory:
Manage job site tools, materials, and equipment; ensure proper maintenance, loading, securing, and care of company vehicles and trailers. - Production & Efficiency:
Keep the crew on schedule, coordinate daily job tasks, and troubleshoot site issues with the Project Manager or Field Supervisor. - Communication:
Maintain clear communication with Project Managers regarding job progress, material needs, or site challenges. - Training:
Mentor and train Crew Members on proper landscape installation techniques, safety standards, and tool operation. - Administrative:
Complete basic daily reporting (time tracking, job sheets, or material logs) as required. - Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven leadership ability with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of commercial landscape enhancement/construction techniques, plant care, and material installation.
- Dependable, punctual, and highly organized with a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable leading and working outdoors in all Texas weather conditions.
- Problem-solving mindset with high attention to quality and detail.
- Experience:
1-3+ years of experience in landscape enhancements, construction, or commercial landscaping, with prior crew lead or supervisory experience preferred. - Driver's License:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (ability to drive company truck and pull trailers preferred). - Language:
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a major plus. - Equipment:
Familiarity with operating commercial landscape equipment (skid steers, trenchers, power tools) is preferred. - Transportation:
Reliable transportation to the shop or primary job site.
- Continuous physical labor, including heavy lifting (up to 50+ lbs), digging, shoveling, and moving materials alongside the crew.
- Repetitive bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday.
- Working outdoors in all Texas weather conditions.
