We are hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to maintain and repair HVAC systems across our network of automotive and commercial truck dealerships. This is an in-house facilities position—not a residential service or commission-based sales role. You will support properties operated by one company, helping maximize equipment uptime, prevent unexpected failures, and maintain comfortable working conditions for employees and customers. In this hands-on role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

The ideal candidate has a valid Texas HVAC license and experience working on complex HVAC systems in industrial or large commercial environments. This full-time day-shift position focuses on preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and responding to mechanical issues that impact facility operations.

Description

We are hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to maintain and repair HVAC systems across our network of automotive and commercial truck dealerships. In this hands-on role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

The ideal candidate has a valid Texas HVAC license and experience working on complex HVAC systems in industrial or large commercial environments. This full-time day-shift position focuses on preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and responding to mechanical issues that impact facility operations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment
  • Service rooftop units, packaged systems, split systems, air handlers, exhaust fans, ventilation equipment, thermostats, and controls
  • Troubleshoot refrigerant, airflow, electrical, and mechanical problems
  • Respond promptly to urgent HVAC issues and minimize operational downtime
  • Conduct routine equipment checks at multiple dealership locations
  • Replace motors, belts, contractors, capacitors, compressors, controls, and other components
  • Maintain accurate service records, equipment histories, and preventive-maintenance schedules
  • Identify recurring problems and recommend repair or replacement options
  • Monitor parts inventory and maintain commonly needed replacement components
  • Coordinate specialized repairs with outside contractors when necessary
  • Review contractor work and confirm repairs are completed properly
  • Follow company, OSHA, EPA, and manufacturer safety requirements
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and company vehicles
Requirements

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of commercial HVAC service or facilities-maintenance experience
  • Strong experience diagnosing rooftop and packaged commercial HVAC systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and control-system issues independently
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel between company locations during the workday
  • Ability to work on rooftops, climb ladders, work outdoors, and lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to respond to occasional after-hours HVAC emergencies
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience maintaining HVAC systems for dealerships, warehouses, fleet facilities, or other multi-building commercial operations
  • Experience with building automation systems and commercial HVAC controls
  • Texas HVAC technician registration or contractor-level credentials
  • Experience using computerized maintenance-management or work-order software
