This full‑time, on‑site Service Technician role is based in Greater Houston and focuses on servicing HVAC systems in commercial and industrial facilities. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, and completing repairs on a variety of HVAC units. The Service Technician will conduct field service calls, document work performed, and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently. The role involves collaborating with dispatch and project teams, communicating clearly with clients about findings and recommendations, and adhering to company and industry safety standards.
Technicians are expected to manage their workload effectively, maintain tools and equipment, and represent Star Service professionally at all customer locations.
- Strong maintenance and repair capabilities, including hands‑on experience with HVAC equipment and mechanical systems.
- Proven troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field efficiently and accurately.
- Field service experience, including working independently at customer sites and managing service calls and work orders.
- Customer service skills to communicate clearly, set expectations, and build trust with commercial and industrial clients.
- Ability to perform routine and preventive maintenance, follow maintenance plans, and document work in a timely manner.
- Relevant technical training or certification in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field; EPA refrigerant certification preferred.
- Understanding of safety practices, electrical fundamentals, and mechanical systems common to commercial and industrial HVAC.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work on‑site across the Greater Houston area.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as required, work in various environmental conditions, and comply with company safety policies.
