Teksys, Inc. is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Security Service Technician to join our team.
This is a hands-on technical position for someone who enjoys working with security technology, troubleshooting systems, and seeing a project come together in the field.
What You'll Work OnAs a Security Service Technician, you'll install, service, and troubleshoot commercial security and low-voltage systems, including:
- IP and analog video surveillance systems
- Access control systems
- Card readers and door contacts
- Magnetic locks and electrified strikes
- Access control panels and power supplies
- Intercom systems
- Wired and wireless networked systems
- Video recording and head-end equipment
- CAT, coaxial, and other low-voltage cabling
You'll work in active commercial and construction environments, interact directly with customers and project managers, and help ensure installations are completed professionally and correctly.
What We're Looking ForRequired:
- 3+ years of security industry experience
- Ability to install, service, and troubleshoot low-voltage security systems
- Understanding of relays and normally open/normally closed circuits
- Ability to read electrical schematics, PDF drawings, and related documentation
- Ability to test voltage and continuity with a multimeter
- General understanding of network topology
- Strong mechanical and computer troubleshooting skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- 3+ years of construction experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Security and/or Alarm License
Experience with one or more of the following manufacturers and platforms is a plus:
