Arc Marine Houston, TX 77075

  • Experience in various welding rods/stick (60-series and 70-series) welding
  • Consent for a pre-employment drug test screening
  • A great attitude when dealing with coworkers and customers
  • Ability to work Saturday/Sunday as required based on business needs (No Exceptions)
  • Ability to travel to various locations for projects (No Exceptions)
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions (extreme heat)
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
Requirements
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • 2 years stick welding experience
  • At least 21 years of age
  • TWIC card required
  • Experience in various welding rods/stick (60-series and 70-series) welding
  • Consent for a pre-employment drug test screening
  • A great attitude when dealing with coworkers and customers
  • Ability to work Saturday/Sunday as required based on business needs (No Exceptions)
  • Ability to travel to various locations for projects (No Exceptions)
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions (extreme heat)
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
Responsibilities Include, But Not Be Limited To
  • Complete welding projects for clients in a timely professional manner
  • Assist in selecting and procuring the right material and equipment needed for welding, measuring and aligning work pieces.
  • Assisting and evaluating welding procedures and recommending improvements
  • Effectively use a variety of hand, power, bench tools, and measuring devices
  • Obtain required configurations and positions
  • Setup, change and troubleshoot welding processes, welding perimeters, gas flow, and regulations
  • Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid warping and shrinkage
  • Assist other team members as needed
  • Repair lines/leads if damaged
Qualifications
  • Maritime Industry experience preferred
  • Ability to pass welding test (3G,4G) via stick according to AWS D1.1 and Arc Marine Welding Procedures
  • Operational knowledge of hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints and instructions
  • Ability to climb up to 60ft
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Willingness to learn equipment usage and troubleshoot minor issues
  • Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to follow standard safety standards
