Position SummaryThe Apprentice Electrician will assist and learn from our experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in electrical installations, maintenance, and repair tasks. This position offers a robust apprenticeship program, providing the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a licensed electrician.
Responsibilities- Assist journeyman electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Learn and apply the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local code requirements in all aspects of work.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment to measure, cut, bend, and install electrical conduit and wiring.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and components.
- Attend and actively participate in training classes and apprenticeship courses.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in an accredited apprenticeship program.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and a strong desire to learn.
- Good manual dexterity, physical fitness, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
