Environmental Air Systems, Inc. is hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration Service Technician for our Houston-area team.

We're looking for more than someone who can perform routine maintenance or follow a diagnostic checklist. This position is for a technician who can walk onto a service call, identify the problem, determine the repair, and get the equipment operating correctly without needing constant technical support.

You’ll work across commercial HVAC, light commercial systems, and refrigeration, with opportunities to troubleshoot a wide range of equipment and develop your expertise even further.

Our service technicians encounter a variety of commercial and refrigeration equipment, including:

• Commercial HVAC systems and package units
• Light commercial HVAC equipment
• Low-temperature refrigeration systems
• Chilled water systems
• Ice machines
• Electrical and mechanical components
• Other commercial refrigeration and comfort systems

• Independently diagnose HVAC and refrigeration equipment failures
• Determine the root cause of mechanical, electrical, and system-performance issues
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently in the field
• Service and troubleshoot commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and identify developing equipment issues
• Evaluate system operation and make appropriate repair recommendations
• Work through complex troubleshooting situations with minimal supervision
• Communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations clearly to customers
• Document service calls, equipment information, repairs, and recommendations using company technology
• Maintain a professional appearance and customer-focused approach on every call
• Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices

This role requires a technician who can operate independently in the field and is confident diagnosing unfamiliar problems.

• 3–5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC systems
• Commercial refrigeration experience
• Experience with light commercial equipment
• Experience with chilled water systems
• EPA Universal Certification
• Texas Technician Registration
• Valid driver's license
• Insurable driving record

• Ice machine service experience
• Advanced refrigeration troubleshooting experience
• Formal HVAC/R trade school or technical training
• Experience diagnosing electrical and control issues
• Broad commercial HVAC/R equipment experience

• $28–$38/hour, based on experience
• Performance-based spiffs and bonuses
• 40+ hours per week
• Monday–Friday schedule
• Overtime available
• Automatic overtime pay for work performed before 6:00 AM or after 6:00 PM

Salary: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
