Base pay rate is $26.00 - $29.00 plus $1.00 shift differential

Hours:

4:30 pm - 1:00 am, hours may vary depending on operations.

(Training will occur during Day Shift 6:00 am - 2:30 pm)

The Maintenance TechnicianIIperforms skilled workrelatedtothe installation, operation, maintenance, modification,service and repair of mechanical, electrical,heating, ventilation, air conditioning,plumbing, and structural systems. Theymonitormachineperformance,perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot problems, and make necessary adjustments.

Understands and follows all safety rules and precautions necessary for working with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical apparatus.

Dealswith complex factorsandmakesdecisionsbased on conclusions and findings.

Installs and repairsvariouselectrical equipment,including generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heatingunitsandconduit systems.

Workswith blueprints, drawings, layouts, verbalinstructionsand other specifications.

Usesdifferentwelding equipment(arc, acetylene, brazing, flame cutting)
For layoutand fitting,including making jigs and fixtures.

Utilizes electricians’hand tools and measuring/testing equipment.

Diagnoses and corrects trouble in electrical systemsor equipment,applying standard computationsrelatedto load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.

Performs visual and mechanical inspectionstomaintainmachineryto,ensurethe productionoffinishedquality products according to order specifications.

Follows preventive maintenance program asestablishedby the company andconductsregularequipmentinspectionstakingpreventive action when necessary.

Performs minor and major repairson buildings.

Notifies management concerningneedfor major repairs or additions to lighting,heating and ventilating equipment.

Provides on-the-job direction to new maintenance mechanics and others assisting in maintenance work.

Contributes to continuous improvement efforts inworkarea.

May be assignedadditionalprojects or duties asdesignatedby Team Leader.

High School Diplomaor recognized equivalent.

Minimum of (1-3) one to three years related work experience in a maintenance mechanic function, or equivalent related experience.

Standing, walking, lifting 30 lbs. or more, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, near acuity,

Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.
