Responsibilities Responsible for installing and servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Uses a variety of hand tools and laptop computers, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to install, diagnose, repair, and program HVAC equipment.
Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear (maladjustment, miscalibration, malfunction, and drift).Terminate network cables (Cat5, Cat 6/a, fiber, etc.)Setup and terminate network racks, trays, and all associated equipment in rack.
Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
Creation of checklists/punch lists throughout construction project process.
Represents company by serving as a direct customer contact.
Supports SLV Technicians by providing field support.
Utilizes project plans to prioritize and schedule work.
Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
Work as part of a team or team lead.
Qualifications Qualifications Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Professional appearance.
Strong technical and mathematical aptitude.
Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Mobility within the office and on construction job sites.
Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
Must pass background and drug screen tests.
Able to travel locally and remotely as required.
Able to work after-hours or on shifts.
Climb ladders.
Carry items up to 75 pounds.
Education and/or Experience Required High school diploma or equivalent, trade schools or certificates.
0-2+ years installing SLV solutions and/or electrical systems preferred.
Electronics training from a Technical School or Military preferred.
Recognized industry certification from IT programs, BICSI, Security, AV, or any other recognized program preferred.
