The Liquid Meter Proving Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for performing meter proving, calibration, and verification services on various types of liquid meters, following established procedures and safety standards. The technician will operate and maintain proving equipment, document test results, prepare reports, and communicate findings to supervisors, clients, and other team members.

Daily tasks include troubleshooting meter performance issues, conducting routine inspections, and assisting in the setup and teardown of equipment at customer facilities or company sites. The role also involves adhering to safety protocols, maintaining accurate records, and supporting continuous improvement of proving processes.

• Experience working with meters and related measurement equipment; ability to understand meter operation and performance.
• Knowledge of utilities and industrial systems, including basic processes involved in liquid handling and measurement.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose meter and equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
• Fundamental understanding of electricity and electrical safety as it relates to metering and proving equipment.
• Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with team members, supervisors, and clients.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate technical records.
• Ability to work on-site in industrial environments, including lifting, standing, and working with tools and equipment.
• Prior experience in instrumentation, industrial maintenance, or oil and gas measurement is beneficial.
• Relevant technical training or certification in instrumentation, electrical, or mechanical fields is an asset.
• Valid driver's license and ability to comply with company and customer safety and compliance requirements.
