The Resident Assistant lives onsite and serves as a mentor, advocate, and resource for Sunrise Lofts residents. This position supports residents as they transition toward self-sufficiency by fostering a safe, welcoming, and engaged community while promoting positive relationships among residents, property management, and resident services staff.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in human services, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.

• Experience working in community engagement, residential services, social services, or customer service preferred.
• Experience with conflict resolution, mediation, or crisis intervention preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and community stakeholders preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with residents.
• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• Knowledge of community resources and support services.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
• Strong organization, planning, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies and stressful situations.
• Empathy, cultural awareness, and a commitment to resident success.

• Position requires living onsite at Sunrise Lofts.
• Occasional evenings, weekend, and on-call responsibilities.
• Frequent interaction with residents, staff, and community partners.

• Manage multiple priorities and frequent interruptions.
• Maintain emotional control during crisis situations.
• Exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
