Summary of the Position: Hourly, Part Time position serving youth and families throughout Harris County are available for the Evening Reporting Center
- Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.
- The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
- All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
Position offers weekly pay, direct deposit, mileage, and activity reimbursement.
Availability: Flexible non-traditional hours - may require evenings and weekends
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or related field is preferred.
- Prior Experience working with at-risk youth and families in a community, school, and home setting
- Experience working in community-based services and knowledge of community resources.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and using computers
- Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is preferred.
- Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage
