Position Summary

Carter Support Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support internal operations and client-facing services. This role will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and user‑focused applications that align with business goals and service excellence.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on developer who enjoys solving problems, writing clean and efficient code, and contributing to continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and system components
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, security, and consistency
  • Integrate applications with third‑party APIs, databases, and internal systems
  • Support deployments, updates, and ongoing system maintenance
  • Contribute to process improvements, technical standards, and documentation
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, C#, Java)
  • Experience with web or application development frameworks
  • Strong understanding of databases and data structures (SQL and/or No

    SQL)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
  • Experience with debugging, testing, and performance optimization
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a support services, MSP, or operations‑focused environment
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and system integrations
  • Understanding of security best practices and data protection
